Sunlit Sunday

My friend Karen over @ My Little Home and Garden runs a great weekly link up called Sunlit Sunday.

It's a great place to see some sunshine now that old man Winter has us in his icy grips.

It's snowing here again today...two more inches of the white stuff expected here and some more record cold days on the way this week.

We did see the sun here a couple of times this week, and when it hit, I grabbed my camera in the hopes of having something to link up over at Karen's.

These images are what is keeping me warm and hopeful that warmer days are just around the corner.

Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your day!

  1. Ah, a sunlit Christmas cactus starting to share some pretty flowers. That was a cool shot looking down on the squirrel on the feeder.

  2. Doesn't that hot pink Christmas cactus bloom raise the temperature a notch! Mine just doesn't seem to want to bloom, so lucky you.

I like the look of your neighbourhood with all of the lovely trees and sun highlighting the snow. The wildlife must enjoy your yard, dropping for for a meal now and again.

Thank you, Cheryl, for grabbing your camera this week and joining in with Sunlit Sunday.

  4. Hi Cheryl, lovely to see the sun popping into your home. We had a brief encounter with it this morning but the clouds have moved in front of it now.

  5. I had to look twice to see if that was a squirrel or a bird :) Is it a bird feeder? Or is meant for the squirrels. We have a couple of little squirrels in our woodshed but so far they haven't touched the bird-feeders. There are lots of spruce cones around our place so that may be keeping them satisfied. Isn't it lovely when the sun shines in winter? It brightens everything up - even our moods! So glad you had some sunshine this week and here's hoping you get a lot more in the week to come!

    1. Kathie - that is supposed to be a squirrel proof bird feeder...as you can see the smart little bugger has figured out how to get the seeds!!

  9. Beautiful wintry scenes, both inside and out, with the interiors starting to show a little 'spring' in sight with that pretty hot pink Christmas cactus!

  10. The warmer days are just ahead, but maybe too far ahead. I'm wishing them close. Your pictures are a ray of hope for sure. I giggled when I saw your Christmas cactus, before I left home on the road trip 3 weeks ago I had one bud. Just one bud and I pointed it out to my hubby and touched it as I watched it fall to the floor, so sad. I'll watch for other pictures of yours that might be in full bloom. Cindy
